About Sycamore Care
SLW is a family-run business with over 30 years of experience in residential care. The organisation is committed to delivering excellence in both care services and facilities, always placing service users at the centre of everything it does.
The SLW team consists of qualified, naturally caring professionals who continuously develop their skills through ongoing training. All nurses hold their own NMC Pin number, which is verified annually. Unit Managers possess NVQ Level 4 or 5, Senior Staff hold NVQ Levels 2 and 3, and Care Staff have at least NVQ Level 2 or are supported in achieving this during their employment. Career progression and professional development are actively encouraged.
Beyond delivering exceptional care, the team is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment where each resident feels a genuine sense of home and belonging. Staff take the time to get to know each resident—their preferences, interests, and personalities—and strive to ensure their happiness and comfort. This personalised approach provides residents and their families with confidence in the high standard of care being delivered.
Supporting familiar routines and hobbies is a core aspect of helping residents feel at home. Whether continuing pastimes they enjoyed before arrival or exploring new interests, each individual is encouraged to live life in a way that suits them. Those who enjoy socialising are welcomed to participate in communal activities or trips, while those who prefer solitude are respected equally.
SLW is committed to supporting each individual to maintain their independence for as long as possible, while recognising and responding to their evolving care needs with compassion and respect.
