Faircross Care Home is currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants in Barking to join its dedicated care team. Previous experience in a care home or domiciliary care setting is advantageous but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided to help new team members develop the skills needed for the role. Candidates should demonstrate a caring attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to supporting the wellbeing of others.

A valid driving licence is desirable, as it may occasionally be required for transporting residents or assisting with errands. Applicants must also have a good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents, families, and care staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Support the implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Help organise and coordinate care activities to meet individual needs
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and team members
  • Document care provided accurately using IT systems and ensure records are up-to-date
  • Drive or accompany patients to appointments or outings as required
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment in line with health and safety regulations
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance patient well-being

Requirements

  • Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting patients or running errands
