About the Role

We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 tramping drivers to join our team. This is a Monday to Friday tramping role (nights out), with occasional weekend work available for additional earnings. You will be responsible for long-haul deliveries and ensuring professional, safe, and efficient service across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles on national routes, with nights out during the week.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure legal compliance (tachographs, WTD).
- Secure and handle loads safely.
- Communicate effectively with transport planners and maintain on-time deliveries.
- Maintain a professional approach representing Knights Transport Ltd at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months Class 1 (C+E) HGV driving experience.
- Willingness to do Monday–Friday tramping (4–5 nights out).
- Clean driving record (minor endorsements considered).
- Ability to pass a B1 English language test (required for visa sponsorship).
- Overseas candidates must convert their licence to a UK LGV licence (support provided).
Desirable:
- Valid UK CPC and Digi-Tacho card (if already in UK).
- Experience with curtainsiders or box trailers.
