Salary: £12.30 to £14.30 per hour

About the Role
Care South currently has limited availability for Tier 2 Sponsorship for Home Care Assistant positions in Chard. To qualify, candidates must meet the following requirements:
– Hold a valid UK driving licence
– Have access to your own vehicle
– Currently reside in or near Chard or within a commutable distance
Please note: relocation is not an option, and only candidates who meet these criteria will be contacted.
As a Home Care Assistant at Care South, you’ll be compensated for both contact time and travel time, plus a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

In this community-based role, you’ll be assisting clients with a variety of needs, including personal care in their own homes. A valid UK driving licence and vehicle access are essential to this role.

Main Duties
- Identifying the needs and abilities of our clients and providing personal care and encouragement to them
- Assisting with medication, meal preparation and domestic services
- Supporting with community visits (shopping and leisure trips)
- Regular communications with the office support team

Qualifications
- Do you have a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients?
- Do you have previous experience? This isn’t essential, as full training is provided
- Are you the holder of a UK driving licence with access to a vehicle?
- Do you have business insurance on your vehicle or are you happy to obtain it?
- Are you flexible in the hours you can work and able to work every other weekend?
- Are you able to work independently and as part of a team?
