About the Role

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for technology and procurement? We are looking for a talented Information & System Support Analyst to join our dynamic team at our Canary Wharf location. With an aptitude for data manipulation, systems and data analysis, the holder will be involved in exciting new supply chain projects, systems deployment, and process improvements

As the Systems and Data Team, we are responsible for the oversight of all procurement and supply chain systems, and deployment, data analytics and business processes. We also maintain the department’s website ensuring Procurement brand is promoted.

Responsibilities

  • The post holder will primarily be responsible for supporting the effective and efficient running, maintenance, and subsequent administration of the Atticus Inventory Management System (IMS). This involves technical support for IMS in relation to the 4 interfaces with Oracle and GHX Nexus Catalogue Management System via File Transfer Protocol (FTP) process.
  • The post holder will become a Subject Matter Expert in the Atticus system providing support and guidance to the Procurement and Supply Chain Team.
  • The post holder will support the development and implementation of the Barts Health Supply Chain Transformation strategy, with particular emphasis on Atticus Inventory Management System deployment and on-going management.
  • The post holder will support the department In producing robust commercial information as directed by the Head of Information and Performance or Deputy Director of Supply Chain & Performance.
  • Perform benchmarking analysis to support the Sourcing Team in implementation of Best Practice and value for money.
  • The post holder will support the Systems & Data team to track benefits realisation and produce departmental key performance indicators, i.e., Procurement Dashboard as directed by the Head of Information and Performance.
  • Through the provision and interpretation of data, the post holder will support the team to improve business processes, aid product standardisation and enhance service development option appraisals.
  • The post holder will support the Head of Information and Performance in the delivery of strategic procurement projects across the Trust to facilitate performance enhancement, process efficiency and better value.Deputise for the Data Analyst and the Procurement Systems Manager as and when required.

Qualifications and knowledge

Essential

  • A level’s or equivalent
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Competent user of inventory management and catalogue management systems
  • Experience in Atticus and GHX preferable.

Desirable

  • Student member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or relevant Institute
  • SQL (Structured Query Language)
  • SQL database and server

Experience (Essential)

  • Basic knowledge in the areas of project management, negotiation, contract management, cost and price management, FTS procurement (prince II or other project management methodology)
  • A basic understanding of accounting practices and principles
  • Proven proficiency in the use of Procurement and Inventory Management Systems, ideally within a Healthcare or FMCG setting.
  • Competent knowledge of logistics, inventory control and supply chain management
  • Proficient user of MS Apps or related packages
