About You:

As our IT Support Technician, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of IT support troubleshooting in a pivotal role that offers direct engagement with users and a significant amount of autonomy when resolving issues. Based in our Glasgow Head Office you will provide support to our colleagues across our business, including at each of our Store locations and therefore on occasion may involve some travel.

You will be valued for ensuring all IT devices consistently operate as required and strive to minimise any disruptions for smooth daily business activity. Furthermore, you will bring sound experience in Microsoft 365 administration and have a keen interest in driving security and efficiency improvements. Focusing on the modern Microsoft ecosystem including Entra ID, Intune, Endpoint, SharePoint, and Teams you will also be responsible for handling day-to-day support tasks such as laptop builds, printer troubleshooting, spam filter checks, and telephony support.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide first and second-line IT support to Head Office and retail colleagues, both in person and remotely.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and configure laptops using Windows Autopilot, maintaining standardised Intune deployment profiles.
  • Administer Microsoft Intune, including policy creation, compliance management, and device enrolment.
  • Implement and maintain Microsoft Secure Score recommendations to enhance business security posture.
  • Support and optimise Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Maintain and improve Intune and M365 configuration standards across the business.
  • Provide light-touch printer and telephony support, including BT Cloud Voice system administration.
  • Monitor and manage spam filtering and email security tools.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers where required to resolve incidents or deliver solutions.
  • Maintain accurate asset and licence inventories for hardware and software.
  • Support IT-related business projects, including hardware refreshes, upgrades, and system implementations.
  • Assist with IT setup for meetings, presentations, and company events.
  • Contribute to the creation of IT documentation, policies, and procedures to standardise processes.
  • Stay current with technology trends and proactively recommend improvements.

Person specifications:

  • Previous experience in an IT support role.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 and related administration portals.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support non-technical users.
  • Demonstrable awareness of IT security best practices.
  • Adopt an organised, methodical, and detail-oriented approach.

Highly desired specifications:

  • Experience implementing or improving Microsoft Secure Score.
  • Familiarity with BT Cloud Voice or similar VoIP systems.
  • Experience writing or maintaining IT documentation.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell or basic scripting for automation.
