About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting data-driven decision-making processes by analysing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights. You will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and assist in the development of data solutions that align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their analytical needs.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of databases, ensuring optimal structure for data storage and retrieval.
  • Utilise SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from various sources.
  • Create visual reports and dashboards using Power BI to present findings effectively.
  • Support project management efforts by tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery of analytical projects.
  • Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by contributing to testing and validation of data solutions.
  • Develop scripts using Bash Unix shell or VBA for automating repetitive tasks related to data processing.
  • Maintain documentation of processes and methodologies used in data analysis projects.

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
  • Proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Experience with database design concepts is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar visualisation tools is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as R or Bash Unix shell is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving in a data-driven environment.
