About the Role:

Celtic Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated female Live-in Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care for one of our clients in Chippenham, Wiltshire. This is a live-in position with 6 hours of care required per day, 7 days per week.

Due to the personal care needs of the client, we are only recruiting female carers for this assignment (genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010).

About the Role – Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

As a Live-in Carer with Celtic Care, you will be required to:

Personal Care

  • Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and continence needs
  • Support with safe use of mobility aids, hoists, or other transfer equipment
  • Administer, prompt or assist with medication in line with care plan

Meal Preparation

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and drinks tailored to the client’s preferences and dietary needs
  • Monitor food and fluid intake to ensure health and wellbeing

Household Duties

  • Keep the client’s home clean, safe, and comfortable
  • Carry out light housekeeping including laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and washing up
  • Change bed linen and ensure hygiene is maintained

Companionship & Emotional Support

  • Provide meaningful companionship and conversation
  • Support the client in maintaining hobbies, routines, and emotional wellbeing
  • Encourage independence while offering reassurance and a listening ear

Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate daily care logs, MAR charts, and incident records using our digital care system (PASS)
  • Communicate effectively with the Celtic Care office team and raise any concerns promptly

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to relocate to Chippenham, Wiltshire
  • Able to travel to our Chippenham office for induction and mandatory training
  • Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Provide at least 2 years’ experience in live-in care
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Able to work independently, with initiative and reliability
