A leading care provider in Birmingham is seeking Live-in Carers to deliver high-quality, person-centered care to clients in their own homes. This role offers full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible shifts to accommodate different schedules.

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to our clients based in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have experience in live in care and domiciliary care and possess a strong understanding of behaviour management, particularly for clients with dementia. The opportunity is for care in the community with the option for part-time live-in care as well. Transfer of sponsorship possible for right person who is already in the UK. Drivers with a clean driving licence preferred.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication reminders.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
- Monitor and document changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
- Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain a clean and organised living space for clients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Qualifications
Skills
- Proven experience in home care or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of dementia care principles and techniques.
- Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards clients.
- Capability to drive safely and assist clients with transportation needs.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while ensuring high-quality care.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must currently be in the UK and have some UK work experience.
