About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Live-in Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centered care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. As a live-in carer, you will reside with the client on a rota basis, supporting them with daily living tasks, personal care, companionship, and ensuring their safety, dignity, and independence.
This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day, supporting individuals with varying needs including the elderly, those living with dementia, learning/ physical disabilities, end of life or complex health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care.
- Assist with medication management in line with care plans and company policy.
- Support with mobility, transfers, and use of equipment (e.g., hoists, wheelchairs).
- Prepare and cook meals based on client preferences and dietary requirements.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, promoting wellbeing and engagement.
- Maintain clear and accurate daily care records and communicate concerns promptly.
- Liaise with family members, healthcare professionals, and the care management team.
- Follow individual care plans and contribute to reviews and updates where necessary.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for both client and yourself.
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills and a kind, respectful approach
- Ability to live with a client for a minimum of 1 week (one week off, one week on)(rota basis)
- Right to work in the UK
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Flexibility and resilience
- Must be a driver
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Experience supporting individuals with dementia, stroke recovery, or palliative care
