Thorough Care Corporation Limited is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Male Learning Disability Support Worker / Care Worker to support individuals with learning disabilities in Westcliff-on-Sea. As a Learning Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and practical support, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The role requires patience, emotional resilience, and a calm, level-headed approach when supporting individuals with complex needs.
Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, strong observational skills, and a clear commitment to treating others with dignity and respect. Good written and spoken communication skills are essential to ensure accurate record-keeping and effective teamwork.
Applicants with a minimum of one year’s experience as a Support Worker are preferred. Being a driver with access to a personal vehicle is desirable to support community-based activities, although this is not essential.
Thorough Care Corporation Limited is able to offer up to 20 additional working hours for candidates already in the UK on an existing visa, including those seeking a visa sponsorship transfer or sponsorship swap, subject to eligibility and organisational requirements.

Job Introduction
We are able to provide 20hrs extra for candidates currently on a visa sponsorship or visa sponsorship swap (candidates that are already in the UK). And for those that do not need visa sponsorship.
.As a Support Worker, you will support individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism. You will provide meaningful support and encouragement and recognise that each person is an individual with differing needs. Your goal will be to enable people to structure their time; build relationships and establish a balance between activities, self-care, work and leisure, as appropriate to their individual needs.
Your Duties:
You will be involved in the day to day support of the people within the service including, but not limited to, help with personal care, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry, record keeping and assistance with medication. Each and every person we support is unique so you will be encouraged to get creative, promoting each individuals independence, choice and dignity whilst still having plenty of fun along the way.
About you:
- Are patient and level-headed
- Are observant, professional and committed to treating others with dignity and respect
- Have good written and spoken communication skills
- Have a strong team work ethic
- Preferably 1-year experience as a support worker, though most importantly enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
- Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential.

Half day -Early (7am-14:30)
Half day -Late (14:30-22:00)
Long days (7am-22:00)
Night (22:00-7am)
