Profuse Care Ltd is recruiting an experienced Male Support Worker in London to join a growing and professional care provider delivering high-quality, person-centred support. This role offers a clear pathway for career progression, with UK visa switch sponsorship available after 12 weeks of successful induction, subject to eligibility and performance.

The Support Worker will provide structured support within supported living and community-based settings, assisting individuals with daily living, independence skills, and personal wellbeing. The role requires a calm, professional approach and a strong understanding of best practice within the health and social care sector.

Applicants should have a minimum of one year’s experience in supported living, home care, or patient care. Holding an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential, while knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred. A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential, depending on service needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental well-being.
  • Assist with behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate professionals.
  • Support clients to appointments or social activities as required.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Previous minimum 1 year experience in supported living, home care or patient care.
  • NVQ Level 2/3.
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospice care or senior care practices is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in behaviour management techniques.
