Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental well-being.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate professionals.
- Support clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Previous minimum 1 year experience in supported living, home care or patient care.
- NVQ Level 2/3.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospice care or senior care practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential.
