As a Mental Health Support Worker in a supported living environment, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, promoting their independence and well-being. You will assist residents in their daily activities, support their recovery journey, and help them achieve their personal goals within a safe and supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Personalized Support: Assist residents with daily living tasks, which can including , meal preparation, personal care, trips to the park and household chores, tailored to individual needs.
- Emotional Assistance: Offer empathetic support to help residents manage their mental health conditions, fostering resilience and coping strategies.
- Care Planning: Participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Community Engagement: Encourage and facilitate residents’ participation in community activities to promote social inclusion.
- Advocacy: Support residents in expressing their needs and preferences, ensuring their voices are heard in care decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Health and Social Care experience .
- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
