Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients with meal preparation and dietary requirements according to care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
- Help with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed routines
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Support clients with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow prescribed routines accurately
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care documentation
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation but not mandatory for NIGHT TIME positions
- A caring attitude, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills are vital for success in this role
