About the Role
We are looking for an experienced care assistant to join our small family run care home in Netley, Southampton. The successful candidate will be providing support and assistance to residents during the Day. Responsibilities include carrying out regular checks on the residents, ensuring a safe and secure environment, preparing meals and drinks, providing meaningful activity, confirming continuity of care between shifts and administering medications when required.
Applicants should have experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering high quality care. A valid NVQ2/3 or equivalent in health and social care is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administering medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in client’s condition to the supervisor or healthcare professional
