Job Overview
Gong Space Holistics is a growing wellbeing centre in Derby City Centre offering yoga, Reiki, sound therapy, holistic treatments, training, corporate wellbeing and community-based services.
As we continue to develop and expand, we are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Operational Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the centre.
This is a hands-on, varied role within a small and growing business, working closely alongside the Managing Director and wider team to ensure the smooth delivery of classes, treatments and events.
The Role
You will support the operational delivery of the centre across studios, therapy rooms and front-of-house, helping to ensure a calm, professional and welcoming environment at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the centre
- Setting up and resetting studios for classes, workshops and events
- Assisting with movement and set-up of equipment (including gongs, frames, tables and chairs)
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting class and treatment schedules
- Assisting with general administration and information management
- Supporting use of booking systems and IT systems
- Providing a welcoming and professional presence for clients and visitors
- Cleaning and supporting general cleanliness and maintenance of the space
- This is a physically active role and requires someone comfortable working across different areas of the centre, including lifting and moving equipment.

Working Pattern
- 20–30 hours per week
- Includes regular evening and weekend working to meet the needs of the business
Trial & Training Period
All successful applicants will be required to complete an initial trial and training period to ensure suitability for the role and alignment with the way we operate at Gong Space.

Qualifications & Experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) desirable
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, operational, hospitality, retail, leisure or wellbeing environment preferred
- Experience with scheduling, administration or coordination tasks advantageous
- Equivalent practical experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications
