We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Bingham, Nottingham. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting independence and choice.
  • ‎Assist service users with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, dressing, and household tasks
  • ‎Support individuals to engage in community activities, educational programmes, and social outings..
  • Encourage the development of communication, social, and life skills through structured support.
  • Implement care plans and risk assessments, ensuring all support is delivered safely.
  • Monitor and record changes in physical, emotional, or behavioural health and report to senior staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for service users
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support individuals in managing challenging behaviour using approved techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Promote safeguarding principles and report any concerns immediately.
  • Assist service users with accessing appointments, activities, and community resources.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.

Requirements

  • ‎Previous experience in a care or support role (preferred, but not essential – training can be provided).
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.‎
