Inspire Housing and Support are providers of supported accommodation for vulnerable adults facing homelessness. We provide quality housing, with additional services for individuals who are deemed to be vulnerable and or at a disadvantage.
We provide fully furnished rooms in house shares for tenants who are on benefits, alongside tailored support to get tenants back into work, education, self employment and other general support with our team of dedicated support staff.
Candidates will be expected to go into properties that are under Inspire Housing’s management in which service users are housed to carry out their roles and responsibilities. This is a lone working role.
PART TIME – working between 16-20 hours per week across Monday – Friday. Flexible working between 9-5pm.
Hourly rate £13.00 per hour.
Requirements:
- A full UK Drivers License and access to a vehicle.
- An enhanced DBS check.
- Excellent IT Skills – we are a paperless business all work is completed on a laptop.
- Have experience working with homeless vulnerable adults who are in supported accommodation
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Patience, empathy and a genuine desire to help people.
- Being able to stay calm and mentally resilient in challenging situations.
- Organisation and self-management skills.
- NVQ Lv. 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care not essential.
Support/Admin role:
- Plan and deliver individualised support in accordance with a support plan drawn up during discussion between the resident and their Support Worker.
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive records to professional standards.
- Assist residents in adhering to the responsibilities of their License Agreement and to any specific rules of the scheme.
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions.
- The ability to manage your own caseload with a proactive and innovative approach to your work and to work flexibly in order to provide ‘tailored support’ to meet clients individual needs and aspirations.
- Support residents to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure residents enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Facilitating viewings for your home and our other homes if the other support worker isn’t available.
- Minimise conflict and confrontation within the service between residents and visitors.
- Ensure that properties and resident rooms comply with organisation’s standards and are well maintained and equipped, undertaking all the required health & safety checks.
- Covering holiday and sick time as and when other staff members are off.
- Chasing service charges and ensuring residents are setting up standing orders for payments.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the role and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned.
