About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to stock management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong attention to detail.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts for materials handling and stock movement.
- Assist in the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and manage inventory effectively.
- Perform picking and packing duties, ensuring that products are prepared for dispatch in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare orders for delivery.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with the management of materials handling processes.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating various warehouse equipment.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, particularly in shipping and receiving roles.
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems will be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of stock management practices and materials handling techniques.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
