Position: Personal Assistant / Admin Support

Salary: £14–£16 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Part Time

Location: Ilford, East London (Hybrid)

Pay: £14–£16 per hour (depending on experience)

Equivalent full-time salary: £29,120–£33,280 per year (based on 40 hours/week)

Pro rata salary for this role: £17,472–£19,968 per year (based on 24 hours/week)

Hours: 22–25 hours per week (3 days), with flexibility

Location: Remote/hybrid – based near Ilford preferred

About the Role

We’ve been running Cake Box stores for almost 15 years, starting with one shop and gradually growing to seven, with plans to open more. Cake Box is a franchise and a well known high street brand that specialises in fresh, egg free cakes made for all kinds of celebrations. The pace is fast and there’s alwayss something that needs sorting — whether it’s following up with a supplier, chasing a delivery, posting a job ad, or helping a manager with a small issue. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for someone reliable, organised, and detail focused to support the business owners directly. Your job will be to help keep everything running smoothly in the background. Most of your time will be spent on admin tasks, tracking issues across stores, following up on things that need action, and preparing simple weekly reports. Occasionally, you might also help with personal admin like ordering a gift or arranging something for a family member or friend.

There’s no fixed office. Most of the work is done remotely, and we’ll meet from time to time in a local coffee shop or one of the stores when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Log and follow up on maintenance issues across stores
  • Communicate with suppliers and track deliveries
  • Post job ads, shortlist CVs, and arrange interviews
  • Monitor reviews and customer complaints and assist with replies
  • Compile simple weekly shop performance reports
  • Keep track of holidays, documents, and general admin tasks
  • Occasionally support with personal admin or one-off tasks
