Scunthorpe and Brigg | Permanent | Full-Time | Weekdays Only
We are looking for a motivated and clinically focused Community Pharmacist to join our forward-thinking, patient-centred pharmacy group across Scunthorpe and Brigg.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who wants more than traditional dispensing – someone keen to develop clinically, upskill, and contribute to innovative NHS and private service delivery.
The Role
Permanent position
42.5 hours per week
Weekdays only (no weekends)
Start date: ASAP
Working across Scunthorpe and Brigg (same PMR, similar workflows)
You will have a varied and stimulating role combining:
- Clinical services delivery
- Dispensary oversight
- Service development
- Team leadership and training support
- There is clear progression into Independent Prescribing clinics, service leadership, and potential profit share on services.
Clinical & Professional Responsibilities
You will be involved in:
- Delivering Pharmacy First services
- Providing NMS
- Vaccination services
- Contraceptive services
- Hypertension case-finding
- Supporting the development of new NHS and private services
We have been at the forefront of innovative community pharmacy services and have hosted trials and pilots within our sites.
We also have strong relationships with local GP surgeries, with opportunities (training provided) to work on GP IT systems and support services traditionally delivered within general practice.
Training & Development
Newly qualified pharmacists welcome
Independent Prescriber desirable but not essential
Full IP training pathway and DPP support available
2 days paid CPD per year
Opportunity to run IP clinics (when qualified)
Opportunity to support training of Foundation Pharmacists, Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians (PTPT’s), Trainee Dispensers and University Placement Pharmacy Students.
We actively support career progression and clinical development.
Team & Support Structure
You will be supported by a strong multidisciplinary team including:
- Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner
- Pharmacists
- ACT / Supervisor
- Pharmacy Technicians
- Accuracy Checking Dispensing Staff
- PTPTs
- Dispensers and trainee dispensers
Workload is manageable with strong operational support.
Scunthorpe operates with two pharmacists regularly.
Brigg operates with a single pharmacist model supported by a strong team.
