Position: Pharmacy Dispenser Assistant

Salary: £11.44 to £11.50 an hour

We are a well-established and busy independent pharmacy dedicated to providing exceptional customer care and satisfaction. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of accuracy in our fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.

Main Duties

  • Maintain an accurate, efficient and professional counter experience for all our customers.
  • Administration support in the vaccination centre
  • Advising customers on health products
  • Replenishment and cleaning
  • Support the onsite pharmacist in achieving excellence in our customer experience and meeting all legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in dispensary. (Training can be provided)
  • An excellent understanding of providing an enhanced customer experience.
  • Essential skills and requirements

  • Must be computer literate and have excellent communication skills
  • The successful candidate will be polite, vigilant and have the ability to work well under pressure. You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work well on your own initiative and the enthusiasm to complete all aspects of the course.
  • Able to build relationships with key partners (GP surgeries, care/nursing homes etc.)
  • Experience in ordering and merchandising and replenishment
  • A high standard of English and communication skills.
  • A good level of maths.
  • Minimum five GCSE passes
  • Able to comply fully and understand the importance of customer confidentiality.
  • Good organisational skills, excellent time management skills and able to work to strict deadlines and multitask.
  • A willingness to learn and apply new skills.
