Salary: £13 to £18 an hour

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable tutors for A-level tutoring in Maths, Science, English and Computer Science to join our team at The Tutoring Hub. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals. If you have a strong understanding of your subject area and excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you. This is a flexible, remote position that allows you to work from the comfort of your home.

Main Duties

  • Developing lesson plans for students
  • Evaluating students’ current abilities in specific subject areas
  • Monitoring students’ progress in subjects and identifying areas needing improvement
  • Administering mock exams to prepare students for GCSE/A-level exams
  • Reviewing students’ homework and test scores, and addressing incorrectly answered questions
  • Supporting students during their exams
  • Staying up to date with the latest curriculum for examining board student is taking
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the subject being taught
  • Updating admin team regularly regarding students and providing them with feedback for parents

Requirements

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area
  • Prior tutoring experience is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Passion for education and helping students succeed
  • Reliable internet connection for remote tutoring sessions
