Main duties of the job

  • Develop and manage systems for projects, recording activities and tracking progress.
  • Ensure consistency across the work programmes and take the lead on projects, supporting wider project management professional team objectives where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the medium- and long-term planning of the work of the project management professional team.
  • Ensure deadlines are communicated and successfully met.
  • Assess and report any risks associated with the effective running of projects.
  • Be a main point of contact for NICE teams, and liaising to ensure appropriate input from the project management professional team in the CQI Improving Timeliness project.
  • Liaise with internal staff to negotiate timely planning and delivery of work.
  • Identify areas of working practice that can be improved, developing the new process, and communicating and implementing the changes.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree, relevant project management qualification, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in the management of complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience of managing workloads to ensure that deadlines are met.

Skills

  • Self-motivated team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to working and able to work independently, unsupervised and to a high standard within tight deadlines.
  • Effective and persuasive communicator demonstrating oral, written and presentation skills with a high degree of personal credibility.
  • Competent and accurate IT skills (Microsoft 365) with the ability to use computer software to develop or create reports, documents and spreadsheets.
