Project Officer – Design Factory Birmingham | Aston University | Visa Sponsorship Available

Aston University is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Officer to join the Design Factory Birmingham team based at its Birmingham campus. This exciting role reports to the Design Factory Manager and involves supporting the delivery of innovative projects through effective finance administration, project assurance, marketing coordination, and event organisation.

The Ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, creative environment. Experience in administrative roles related to projects, events, or marketing will be advantageous.

Salary: £30,805 – £32,546 per annum

About the Role

Design Factory Birmingham at Aston University is a state-of-the-art facility that is designed to inspire and facilitate innovation and design. That brings together students, staff, industry partners, and entrepreneurs to collaborate, learn, and create new products that solve real-world problems.

Design Factory Aston University has been awarded a UK Shared Prosperity Fund to support the delivery of a project called Design Factory Shropshire, and we seek a Project Officer.

As the successful candidate you will work in the Design Factory as part of the team to achieve the goals of the project and will need to sound administration and communication skills to help ensure operational and financial compliance.

Reporting to the Design Factory Manager you will administer finance and project assurance processes and support marketing, event organization and business development, as part of the role. Being able to communicate and organize people of all ages would be a great asset.

The salary being offered for this role is below the minimum threshold for required to sponsor new applicants to the Skilled Worker route. However, Aston University may be able to sponsor the successful candidate if they:

  • Are under 26 years old
  • Have held a Student or Graduate visa in the last 2 years
  • Are already in the UK with a Tier 2 or Skilled Worker visa issued before April 4th 2024
