About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and proactive Recovery Support Workers to join our dedicated team. We are a 16 bed supported accommodation based in Manchester, which supports individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs—helping them live independently.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting tenants with all areas of daily living, enabling them to be as independent as possible in line with a recovery-based model of support.
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of individual tenant’s support plans and risk management support plans.
  • Supporting tenants with personal care, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Supporting and educating tenants with personal appearance, self-esteem, and confidence.
  • Key-working tenants to plan and achieve personal goals with interprofessional support where needed.
  • Supporting tenants with routine appointments e.g., doctors, hospital, dentist etc.
  • Maintaining and keeping accurate daily records, ensuring that reports are factual, and person centred.
  • Supporting tenants with community access, such as shopping, social clubs, and use of local facilities.
  • Encouraging community engagement with support as needed.
  • Ensuring your own mandatory training is up to date.
  • Working in a safe and respectful manner and ensuring tenants are safeguarded from harm or abuse.
  • Reporting accidents/incidents as they occur to Team Leaders and the Registered Manager and completing necessary report forms and documentation.
  • Undertaking other tasks set out by the Team Leader and Registered Manager.

Role Specifics:

  • Experience working in a residential/nursing/supported accommodation environment.
  • To be fully flexible to work a variety of shifts, including long days, waking nights weekends and bank holidays.
