About the Role
An NHS Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join their multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
Main Duties
- Conducting initial patient assessments and developing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring patients’ progress and adjusting care plans accordingly
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care
- Providing counseling, support, and education to patients and their families
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Following hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
- Participating in training and professional development activities
Requirements
- Valid and current registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Successful completion of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 7.0, or equivalent
- Completion of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training
- Hold an NMC decision letter
- Not being from a red list country (as per current travel and immigration regulations)
- Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
