About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Scotland. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice are maintained. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, or community health centers.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualised care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and prescriptions.
- Monitor patient progress, document observations, and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care management.
- Adhere to all clinical governance, safeguarding, and health and safety policies.
- Maintain accurate, legible, and comprehensive patient records.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and healthcare assistants.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) PIN is essential for this role.
- A pre-registration nursing qualification from a UK-accredited program or an equivalent overseas qualification.
- For international applicants, you must demonstrate the required level of English language proficiency as set by the NMC. This typically requires a minimum of IELTS (Academic) score of 7.0, with a minimum of 6.5 in the writing section, or an equivalent qualification.
- You must have successfully passed the NMC’s Test of Competence, which includes a computer-based test (CBT) and an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
- Proof of your right to work in the UK.
- Demonstrated experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
