Our client operates a Nursing Home in Swansea and are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse (UK Pin Registration Required).
Purpose of the role
- To ensure, always, the highest standards of care are delivered to the individuals whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures.
- To ensure all nursing practices are evidence based and reflect current trends.
- To work with the Home Manager and other trained nurses in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating quality of nursing care.
- To supervise and train care staff and ensure the full and professional delivery of care to the individuals.
Responsibility
- To have up to date evidence based clinical knowledge in relation to individual groups cared for within the Home
- To be able to communicate at appropriate levels with all individuals, relatives, staff, other professionals and outside agencies involved in the care of the individuals.
- To keep all records of care given in the individuals’ care plan during each shift using Person Centred Software
- To ensure well organised and efficient care is given at all times
- To ensure that all aspects of individuals care needs, i.e. physical, emotional, spiritual and social are met
- To ensure shift handover form is used for all handovers using person centred software
- To delegate responsibilities clearly, courteously and collaboratively, as required, to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained
- To ensure full privacy and dignity is maintained for the dying and the bereaved
- To work with the Palliative care professionals to ensure that the dying receive the utmost care that we can provide
- To develop a relationship of trust and friendship with the individuals and their families
- Previous experience within in similar style of operation is required.
