Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively within diverse healthcare settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, coordinating patient treatments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation.
  • Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
  • Utilize electronic health record (HER) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for precise medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9).
  • Perform specialized procedures including suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and wound care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across acute care, long-term care, hospice, and outpatient settings to develop individualized care plans.
  • Manage complex cases involving trauma medicine, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatric care, or behavioral health.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Provide patient education on health coaching, medication administration, pain management, and discharge planning.

Skills

  • Extensive experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/HER systems) such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
  • Proficiency in advanced nursing procedures including ventilator management, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and laboratory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency room experience highly desirable.
  • Skilled in acute pain management, infection control practices, and aseptic technique adherence.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia; familiarity with memory care is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform complex assessments in various environments such as outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings.
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law and case management principles relevant to occupational health cases.
