Remote Bookkeeper & Customer Support Specialist | EZ Management

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Salary: £24,420.00-£30,000.00 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a confident, personable Bookkeeper & Customer Support Specialist to join our team at EZ Management, a growing SaaS company in the field service industry.

This is a dual-role position combining hands-on bookkeeping responsibilities with customer-facing support, particularly assisting clients with accounting-related queries within our software. You will play a key role both internally and externally -supporting our customers while also managing aspects of our own accounts.

This role requires someone who is comfortable speaking with customers, explaining accounting concepts clearly, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Finance:

  • General bookkeeping duties, including data entry of financial transactions
  • Preparation of accounts for month-end and year-end for accountants

Bank reconciliations

  • VAT returns
  • Managing and operating direct debit systems for customer payments
  • Supporting internal financial processes
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Responding to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status
  • Contributing to process improvements within the finance department

Customer Support (Accounting-Focused):

  • Handling customer support calls and queries related to accounting within our SaaS platform
  • Assisting customers via phone and screen sharing
  • Explaining accounting processes and software functionality in a clear, simple way
  • Supporting users across different businesses and industries

Skills & Experience Required

Experience with accounting software such as:

  • Sage Business Cloud (Sage One)
  • Sage 50
  • Xero
  • QuickBooks
  • (Experience with other accounting systems is also valued)
  • Strong general bookkeeping experience
  • Familiarity with business systems such as CRM, field service software, or similar platforms
  • Payroll experience in the UK and/or Ireland or both is beneficial
  • Experience with UK and/or Ireland accounting practices or both is advantageous
