Responsibilities
- Analyse large and complex datasets to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities for service improvement.
- Create powerful dashboards and data visualisations that drive action and performance.
- Monitor and report on service delivery, outcomes, and impact – making sure no one falls through the cracks.
- Collaborate with diverse teams across prisons, probation services, and central functions to understand data needs and deliver solutions that make a difference.
- Develop new systems and tools that enhance how we use data – all while keeping quality, security, and compliance front and centre.
What You Bring:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation, with a solid understanding of data principles, structure, and integrity.
- Professional curiosity and the ability to problem-solve
- A passion for turning complex data into clear, compelling stories and recommendations.
- A sharp eye for detail and the confidence to present insights to a variety of audiences.
- Knowledge of data governance and GDPR.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills – you’ll be a trusted partner to teams across the organisation.

Vetting Requirements
This role requires access to His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Services (HMPPS) Performance Hub and Refer & Monitor System. It is therefore subject to a Basic DBS check and HMPPS Enhanced Level 1/Standard Plus vetting.
