KA Radio IT Support Specialist (Remote – Work From Home)

KA Radio is seeking a dedicated and reliable Remote IT Support Specialist to support the technical needs of our broadcasting environment from home. This role focuses on troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and ensuring smooth operation of our studio and office technology. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid foundation in computer management. You’ll be providing essential technical support that keeps KA Radio running—no in-person work required.

Duties

  • Provide remote, work-from-home technical support for KA Radio staff, addressing hardware, software, and studio-related computer issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
  • Assist with the setup and management of desktops, laptops, and studio computers (guided remotely)
  • Troubleshoot software issues using platforms like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, or other Help Desk systems
  • Perform remote system updates, backups, and security patches
  • Support user account management, device configuration, and general remote desktop assistance
  • Maintain clear documentation of issues and resolutions
  • Collaborate virtually with the IT and broadcasting teams to improve workflows and introduce helpful technical solutions

Experience

  • Proven experience in technical support, remote support, or desktop support roles
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux system management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and common tools used within KA Radio
  • Experience troubleshooting software and hardware-related issues remotely
  • Familiarity with tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service focus
