Commercial Utilities Management Limited is looking for an experienced and confident Remote Office Administrator to support its growing team. This fully remote role is ideal for a motivated professional with at least 2 years of experience working in an office environment and a passion for delivering excellent client service.

The successful candidate will be confident in speaking to and dealing with clients, capable of handling administrative tasks efficiently, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting. Strong communication skills, organisation, and a proactive mindset are essential to thrive in this dynamic role.

About the Role

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an Administrator, supporting BMU’s Account Managers, to ensure clients always receive exceptional service levels.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working alongside the Account Managers, your role will include handling customer queries, providing regular client updates, and involvement as required within the billing function of the account.

Main Duties

  • Working closely with the Account Managers to ensure accounts meet the required monthly targets
  • Understanding all designated customer accounts, pricing and billing processes
  • Liaising with energy suppliers, which includes submitting meter reads, terminations, identifying suppliers, and any other support related to their meters
  • Communicating via email and phone with customers and sending/ following up on quotes, updates, handling escalations and day-to-day queries as required
  • Management and updating of our databases
  • Liaison with the Operations team to ensure client objectives / SLAs are met
  • Supporting the Account Management team during holiday periods.

Requirements

  • Confident in speaking to and dealing with clients
  • Organised and able to time-manage and prioritise work load
  • Competent IT skills using Microsoft Excel and Outlook (training on our bespoke in-house systems will be provided)
  • Essential – At least 2 years’ experience working in an office environment
