The Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Administrator & Communications Assistant to join our growing team. This is a varied role requiring excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to manage multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with tutors, schools and parents via email and phone
  • Timetabling and scheduling lessons and activities
  • Preparing pricing for lessons
  • Creating and sending invoices, and chasing outstanding payments
  • Supporting recruitment of new team members
  • Scheduling and attending monthly follow-up meetings
  • Responding to parent and school queries

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Extremely organised and responsive
  • Assertive yet approachable, with a friendly and professional manner
  • A confident problem-solver who can manage multiple tasks at once
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone with a positive and clear communication style
  • Familiar with Outlook/Mac Mail, Google Drive, and ideally Xero (bonus)

Details:

  • Hours: 7–15 hours per week (variable, depending on demand). Hours may increase as the business grows.
  • Flexibility: Work from home, with the ability to check in throughout the day and occasional evenings.
  • Employment type: Freelance/self-employed (responsible for own self-assessment and taxes).
  • Equipment: Own laptop required; Edubox will provide a work phone.
  • Training: 2 hours of paid training before the role officially begins.
