About the Role

Bright Path Care provides residential care for children based on a therapeutic approach. Our children may present emotional and social difficulties and some challenging behaviour at times. Working within a supportive therapeutic environment, you will be part of a team dedicated to caring for young people with compassion and a commitment to positive relationships.

Rota – 1 day on 2 days off

Sleep allowance in rate £50 per night

Responsibilities

  • Assist children with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with children, families, and other professionals involved in care.
  • Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments, ensuring safe transportation.
  • Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote development and social skills.
  • Document progress and any changes in behaviour or needs, reporting back to relevant parties as necessary.
  • Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children is essential, demonstrating an understanding of their unique needs.
  • A background in childcare or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop care plans that effectively address individual requirements.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties.
