Nurturing Souls Care is opening a brand-new children’s residential home in Astley Bridge, Bolton, and we’re looking for caring, passionate Residential Support Workers to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something new and meaningful — helping to create a safe, loving, and therapeutic home for children and young people. You’ll work alongside an experienced Registered Manager and a team committed to delivering outstanding care in line with Ofsted standards and our therapeutic model (PACE – Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people with daily routines, personal development, and life skills.
  • Provide emotional support and implement individualised care plans.
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing through consistent, nurturing relationships.
  • Plan and take part in fun, purposeful activities that build confidence and trust.
  • Keep accurate records, reports, and risk assessments in line with Ofsted regulations.
  • Work in partnership with families, schools, social workers, and professionals to support positive outcomes.
  • Drive children to school, appointments, and outings (a full UK driving licence is required).

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a children’s residential home, education, or youth setting (desirable but not essential – full training provided).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and IT skills.
  • A caring, resilient, and reliable person who genuinely wants to make a difference.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the importance of structure and boundaries.
  • A positive attitude and a good sense of humour!
