An exciting part-time opportunity is available at the Kirkstall Superstore in Leeds for a Retail Store Assistant with Cancer Research UK. This role is well suited to individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail setting while contributing to a meaningful cause. You will play a key part in delivering a welcoming shopping experience, supporting store operations, and helping customers feel valued throughout their visit.
Day-to-day responsibilities involve assisting customers on the shop floor, maintaining store presentation, and handling tasks independently when required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team are essential. Previous experience in a busy customer service environment will be beneficial, along with a clear understanding of what excellent service looks like in a retail context.
This is a 16-hour part-time position based in Leeds. Candidates should already have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What will I be doing?
- Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
- Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.
- Assisting with maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
- Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
- Supporting fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.
- Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
- There will be a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity required within the day-to-day duties of the role.
What are you looking for?
- An understanding of what makes great customer service.
- Experience of working in a busy customer service environment.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work independently when required.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
