Position: Senior Care Assistant
Salary: £13.20 per hour

About the Role:
The Company may be able to provide sponsorship for this position with an Undefined COS (in country, skilled worker sponsorship).
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
Your experience and leadership skills will be essential in supervising and mentoring care assistants to maintain the highest standard of care.
This position will be predominantly based in Ryan Meadows Care Home in East Kilbride.

Main Responsibilities:
- Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere that promotes resident independence and dignity.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised care to residents.
- Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support.
- Administer medications.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Perform personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the health and safety of residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and updating care plans and carrying out review meetings.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment in the care home.
- Uphold confidentiality and respect for residents’ rights and privacy.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
Qualifications and experience:
- SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Compassion and empathy for others.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive mindset and attitude.
