Job Summary

As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a care home setting. Your leadership and supervisory experience will be essential in ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and that the well-being of each resident is prioritised. Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised care to residents, adhering to individual care plans and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and leadership to enhance team performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their health or behaviour.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in senior care and IT systems used within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position within a care home environment is essential.
  • Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with residents and their families.
  • Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
