As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a care home setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care to residents, adhering to individual care plans and ensuring their needs are met.
- Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and leadership to enhance team performance.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their health or behaviour.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in senior care and IT systems used within the facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position within a care home environment is essential.
- Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with residents and their families.
- Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications.
