Overview

Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care to elderly residents in accordance with their individual care plans
- Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive and professional team environment
- Assist residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and medication management
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Lead by example in promoting dignity, independence, and respect for all residents
- Organise and participate in activities designed to enhance residents’ wellbeing and social engagement
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Assist with transportation arrangements for appointments or outings as required
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or senior care environment is essential
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care setting is highly desirable
- Proven ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Driving experience or possession of a valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of current regulations and best practices in senior care is preferred
