To be eligible, candidates must either hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care with at least one year of practical experience, or show evidence of enrolment in the Level 3 Diploma with three years’ experience as a Community Care Worker. We also welcome applications from individuals who demonstrate the capacity and readiness to enrol in a Level 3 or higher Diploma in Adult Social Care.
A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is highly desirable, as the position may require travel between care visits.

About The Role
Senior Community Care Worker – Competitive pay rate of £11.50 – £13.25 per hour
Flexible hours including Full Time, Part Time and Bank available. Includes alternate weekend working.
The role involves provision of persons-centred care to our service users to promote independent their living at the comfort of their own home, delivered in accordance to the service user’ desires.
The successful candidate will support other care team to develop, implement and review service users’ care plan, shift management, supervisory responsibilities over carers as team leader, training of new carers, field supervision and support general administrative work as may be required to facilitate the smooth running of the service.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary over the first three months following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.

Responsibilities
As a Community Care Worker with us, among other things, you will be:
- Assisting our clients by providing person-centred care, emotional support they can trust as a true partner in progress they need
- Supporting & encouraging our service users to remain as independent as possible.
- Providing our service user with personal care including bathing, toileting, getting dressed and assisting with mobility in and around their homes and community with dignity and respect.
- Continue to support their household chore by carrying out duties not limited to laundry, washing, cleaning, preparing and cooking meals.
- Support with medication administration and management
- Carry out such other duties including mailing a package, shopping, collection of prescriptions etc
- Support the team with training, supervision and other administrative work
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum of Level 3 Diploma + 1 year experience; Evidence of Level 3 Diploma enrolment + 3-year experience as a Community Care Worker or capacity and readiness to be enrolled in Level 3 and above Diploma in Adult Social Care
Desirable
- Valid UK driving licence and access to own car
