Position: Senior Data Analyst

Salary: £40,000 £50,000 per year

Job Type: Full Time

About the Role

Data Platforms and Engineering partner with all areas of the bank to deliver data solutions utilising new technologies and strategies that underpin the Bank of the Future.  We’re responsible for developing key strategic data platforms that help support and drive both business and regulatory strategic outcomes.

You’ll provide a level of technical analysis support to help shape the delivery of projects and ensure that projects protect the integrity of, and enhance, technical assets in the enterprise data space. You’ll also be expected to contribute to the initial shaping of projects and the delivery of valid estimates for the further delivery of any Data Solutions components within a project.

Main Duties

  • Requirement analysis on complex data-driven changes across the Bank’s landscape involving integration, data warehousing, cloud and master data management technologies
  • Build network and maintain regular contact with key Stakeholders/customers across Operations & IT
  • Work with Business Stakeholders to fully understand their requirements – look for innovative solutions to improving Customer Experience
  • Work with, steer, influence and support solution being proposed – ensure this is in the best interest of the customer
  • Challenge proposed solution if you are aware of an alternative which may be more suitable for customer’s needs and/or supports the Bank’s strategic direction
  • Delivering data warehouse, reporting and integration support for strategic projects
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure they have the necessary support to deliver to the quality required
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and consultant, provide coaching, deliver guidance and support for complex projects, ensuring application of best practise (processes and methodologies) reuse and agility

Qualifications

  • Experience of translating complex business requirements into quality technical/design requirements.
  • An understanding of database systems, preferably in an oracle environment
  • An understanding of both relational and dimensional Modelling techniques
  • Experience in Production of Source to Target Mappings as well as Production of Logical Data Models to facilitate database design
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience in performing Data Profiling to ensure the data is accurate, complete and fit for purpose
