Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our award-winning team at Kitnocks House. Kitnocks House, is a 63-bed service providing high quality care across 4 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated Overall Good with CQC.
What do you need?
- 18 months experience in Healthcare / Leadership role (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families
- A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
What hours will you work?
Week A – 3 days – 07.30 to 20.00
Week B – 4 days – 07.30 to 20.00
Total average of 40.25 hours worked per week

What will you be doing?
- Prioritising workload of the care team, seeking advice from the nurse in charge where necessary
- Participate in meetings including staff meetings, case reviews, clinical reviews, as prescribed by the Nurse in charge
- Observe resident progress against planned goals and report changes in the residents’ condition or care needs to a registered nurse
- Supporting all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes and social activities
- Helping residents to remain as independent as possible
- Respecting residents right of choice, privacy and dignity at all times

Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.
