Wings Care (LLP) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join its supportive team in Liverpool. About the Role
Residential Support Service, 18-65-year olds.
Full time contract / 35 hours per week – £13.17 per hour
Wings Care are a friendly, independent social care provider within Liverpool L10. We support individuals with learning disabilities (including complex autistic spectrum disorder), mental illness, dual diagnosis and acquired brain injury. As a Senior Support Worker, you will make a real difference to the lives of the people we support as you provide high quality services that support each of our service users to achieve their potential.
Ideally the candidate will possess experience with mental health, learning disabilities and Challenging behaviour, though a calm, confident personality is essential. This service would benefit from someone experienced with working with people with autism.
Main Duties
- Your role will be to support both the residents and the staff team to complete daily living skills in a way that promotes dignity and independence, while adhering to company policies, procedures, and the person-centred support plans.
- Assist Management in the smooth operation of the service. This includes (but not limited to) managing petty cash/finances, medication, monitor and maintain all paperwork in accordance with the company guidelines and regulations.
The shifts are on a rota that includes weekdays, weekends, waking nights and bank holidays. Flexibility is a must.
Requirements
- The post requires a good level of documentation and report writing skills.
- Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience – 1 year
- Health and Social care diploma – Level 2 minimum
The applicant is required to attend all provided training, covering all areas of the Care Certificate as well as physical intervention training and/or service user specific training.
DBS expense will be met by the employer, however if for any reason your employment is terminated in under 3 months, Wings Care reserve the right to recoup the cost through your final pay.
