Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Tracheostomy Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care for an individual with complex clinical needs in Farnham. This is a permanent role offering full-time hours with both day and night shifts. The successful candidate must have proven experience in tracheostomy and complex care and be eligible for care worker sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and support to a client with complex health needs
- Deliver hands-on tracheostomy care, including routine care and monitoring
- Perform suctioning safely and in line with care plans
- Manage and support PEG and JEJ feeding
- Observe, monitor, and report any changes in the client’s condition
- Support with personal care and daily living activities where required
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Follow all care plans, risk assessments, and health & safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members
- Provide care during both day and night shifts
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Carer in complex care
Hands-on experience with:
- Tracheostomy care
- Suctioning
- PEG feeding
- Jejunostomy (JEJ) feeding
- Ability to work 40 hours per week including days and nights
- Eligible for or currently holding care worker sponsorship
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- Good communication skills and a caring, professional attitude
- Willingness to work in Farnham
Desirable (but not essential)
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience in domiciliary or community complex care
- Basic life support or clinical care training
