Position: Support Worker

Salary: £11 to £12 an hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Enfield. This is a full-time, on-site position where you’ll provide vital emotional and practical support to individuals with mental health challenges and learning disabilities. In this role, you’ll collaborate with fellow team members, healthcare professionals, and social services to assist clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of client progress and behaviors, ensuring high-quality care and support.

Main Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Provide emotional support to clients.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and activities.
  • Assist clients with medical appointments and treatments.
  • Help clients to access community resources and services.
  • Provide transportation for clients as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in social care, mental health, or learning disability services is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Flexible, empathetic, and able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and policies
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Experience with record keeping and report writing
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • English language proficiency
