Position: Support Worker
Salary: £11.44 an hour
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Gateshead, UK
About the Role
Empowering every person to achieve more.
To have control, courage, and choice to fully enjoy life.
We are recruiting for support workers for our Gateshead service supporting K.
We have opportunities for part time and full time roles, we are looking for staff who want to make a difference and are passionate about working with people. Every day is different, we are looking for people who are flexible, reliable and can adapt.
We support a 32 year old man called K who is looking forward to moving into his own flat with support (Winlaton area). He wants a staff member who likes going out, cooking food he likes steaks and also likes to play the Xbox and wants staff to watch him play his games.
“I am a smoker and likes staff to engage with me when I smoke (can maintain a distance). Staff have to be confident and engaging, be understanding and have a caring nature as I can get frustrated easily and can display behaviour that challenges, although with the right team around me and by having my own flat, this will hopefully not happen that often. ID will give staff all the training and information needed to be able to support me so experience is not essential just looking for staff who would enjoy working with me and supporting me in my new adventure.”
