No two days are ever the same, so if you are kind, down-to-earth, friendly and open to learning, this could be the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for genuine, caring, and enthusiastic individuals to support autistic people with complex needs and learning disabilities.

We Are

Autism at Kingwood are a specialist support provider of services for people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health issues across Oxfordshire& Berkshire. We support people to live independently, learn new skills, and enjoy life in their own homes and out in the community. The work can be challenging at times, but it’s also hugely meaningful and rewarding.

Although experience is helpful, it isn’t essential. If you have the right values, a real interest in supporting people to achieve their goals, and most importantly the enthusiasm and motivation to learn, we’ll provide you with the full training and guidance you’ll need to succeed, and therefore we’d love to hear from you.

We’re excited to be opening a brand-new, purpose-built bespoke service in our newly refurbished modern building, designed with the needs of autistic people at the heart of it.

You will play a key part in shaping and developing the service right from the start. You will be fully trained in Kingwoods Autism Approach and supported on at work by our senior team.

Your day will be spent focused on supporting people in meaningful ways. You might be at their home, helping with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, or personal care. Or out and about and going for walks in the park, swimming, shopping, gardening, enjoying music at a concert or disco, or just having a coffee and chat. What you do will depend on the person and their choices, your imagination is the only limitation!

We will require staff who are willing to drive. This may be your own car with business insurance or a mobility car. Therefore a full UK driving licence is required. If you are not a driver this will not stop you being employed but you will be expected to go out walking or on public transport or supporting in a mobility car.
